Artist Studios Available Soon in Lancaster City!

Makers is a new location at 171 North Queen Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on the north side of Ewell Plaza. The centerpiece of this space will be thirteen artist studios that will be available by mid October. In addition to the studios there will be a gallery displaying works by member artists. Details and timelines are being finalized, but now is the time to reach out to us if you are interested in learning more about the artist studios.

Who’s Running the Show?

Makers is managed by Jason and Katherine Horst of Horst Arts. The Horsts have been part of the Lancaster art scene for years working with companies that include the Lancaster County Community Foundation, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, Music For Everyone, Discover Lancaster, Lancaster Farmland Trust, The Candy Factory, Infantree, the Lancaster Parking Authority, Prima Theatre, and the Lancaster Chamber. And both are part of the Lancaster County Strategic Arts Initiative Task Force.

Jason is a designer and web developer who has worked for Coca-Cola, HGTV, Fuse TV, NoiseTrade, Paste Magazine, and Daytrotter, in addition to many local clients. Katherine graduated from PCAD and is a fine artist represented by Red Raven Art Company. You can hear her as a regular art scene contributor on the So Good Lancaster podcast. They have a second location at 17 North Main Street in Manheim.
